Photographing incense smoke? (W/ Film camera)?
Posted by: | CommentsSo I plan on entering a local competition, and I have an idea…but it involves using incense smoke. So I have a few questions that need some answering.
First off, should I use a slow shutter speed to capture the smoke exactly as it is, or should I use a slow shutter speed and capture the smoke moving, and have a nice effect maybe come out of this?
Also, I ‘m not sure whether or not to use flash. I have a Canon Rebel K2. It has a flash, but I’m not sure how this’ll work out.
And the lighting in general. I don’t have access to any fancy equipment, I have either sunlight or flourescent bulb light or regular light bulbs in a room. I’m not sure, any suggestions for lighting? I only have 400 ISO film as of now. Would a faster speed film help? Or a slower speed? I’m pretty clueless thus far.
All your help is much appreciated!
